A fruitful trip

Been over 10 years since I’ve visited my mum’s hometown.
Going there as an adult now certainly seem a little different.

A little history of my very own mum and her family made me more connected to my very own roots. They used to pick pineapples every single day.

Ha ha… Look at the picture below.. Pineapples are vast in numbers! There’re Hectares of land of Pineapples, Palm Oil, Corn etc etc. There’s no fear that these commodities would ever run out…..

Truly, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Some biology lesson - A pineapple takes approximately 1 year to grow. Out of all the pineapples, only 0.2 - 0.5% of the pineapples grow organically, the rest requires people to pump in some form of substance before it can grow! All the pineapples that we’re having out there in the market are not your “naturally” grown pineapples.

The shortage of food is never a result of resources, but due to the the laws of economics. They need to restrict the supply of goods to drive up the price, hence, farmers only picked out the really good ones to sell and destroy the rest.

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten the chendol here! People claimed it to be the best in Malaysia. Ha ha. Be good to me and I shall bring you there! Don’t despise this simple set up ok! Ha ha… The owner is actually able to send his son overseas to study and got himself a mansion selling chendol by the roadside. Sell your ONE product well and you’ll make your bucks!

I’ve also attached another picture up close and personal! Ha ha. You’ll not go to another place for chendol after having this…. If you’re a chendol lover that is.

CNY is a great time to forgive and ask for forgiveness. Life is short. (: Be big! Grow big! Think Big! Value relationship - it’s not able what we know, but who we know.
Let 2011 be an amazing year! Without God, people take decades to forgive (:. But we ain’t no time to waste… Learn from every possible opportunity. Every single thing can be a lesson in life.
